Latitude 22 S has been working with all the local Port / Customs / Immigration / Quarantine and Administrative authorities, dealing with all different kinds of yacht requests, needs and situations since the year 2000.

Ports of Entry to New Caledonia
Port of Nouméa (via the Havannah, Dumbea or Boulari Passages)
Port of Koumac - Pandop Marina(west coast of New Caledonia)
Port of Hienghène (east coast of New Caledonia)
Port of We (east coast of Lifou - a Loyalty Island)

Pre-Arrival Procedures for New Caledonia
Note : For berth availability & smooth authority procedures, please inform us in advance of your arrival.

Once all of your Pre-Arrival Procedures Documents are completed and have been approved, you are permitted
a 7-day grace period which allows you to stop over and cruise within territorial waters before arriving into a
port of entry.

This grace period can also be arranged (in advance) for your departure.


Information to be Faxed or Emailed prior to your Arrival
1) A Letter of Appointment confirming that Latitude 22 S is requested by the Captain/Owners, to act as their
agent and organize on their behalf the clearance formalities for New Caledonia.

2) A copy of the Yacht Registration Papers.

3a) The Latitude 22 S Customs Form A - Vessel Details.
3b) The Latitude 22 S Customs Form B - Fire Arms and Ammunitions on Board.
* Note 1 : Arms and ammunitions will be taken off the yacht and stored by Customs while the yacht is in the country.

3c) On your arrival, you will be required to fill out the Latitude 22 S Customs Form C - Stores and Belongings
on Board

4a) The Immigration Debarkation Crew & Passengers List.

 


5) Latitude 22 S Service Information Form.

6) SHOM Marine Navigation Chart Request Form (if required).



Information Required on your Arrival

For Customs Services
For Customs purposes we require you to fill out the following Latitude 22 S Customs Form C, (included in the Pre-Arrival Documents Package) which includes the following information :

A) A list of tobacco, wines and alcohol stocks on board (specify quantities and brands). Please take note that Customs will allow you to keep for consumption all bottles already opened, and that the others will be stored under sealed bond.

In the even that you would like to drink the bottles you have on board, while you are in New Caledonia, we can request a special authorization for you from Customs for this, but please note that taxes on this the additional consumption of your stocks whilst in New Caledonia will be applied and have to be paid before departure. (The tax applied will be confirmed.)
The procedure is as follows, a detailed list of quantity of wines and alcohol stocks on board on arrival will be compared to the quantity of remaining on board on your departure (both lists will be checked and approved by Customs). This will permit the Customs officers to evaluate your consumption whilst in the country and taxes will be applied.

B) A list of all medical drugs on board (please check that stocks to match the lists, as the authorities look into this).

C) A list of different personal equipment that the crew and passengers may have. For example: digital and analog cameras, video cameras, stereos, etc. (specify the serial numbers in your list)


For Quarantine
You are required to keep on board all animals (dead or alive), all vegetables, plants, fruits, tubers and seeds, as well as all animal or plant born goods.

Fruits and vegetables can be kept if you have adequate cool rooms and storage areas but you are required to arrange
for a daily pick up of peelings and organic rubbish ( Latitude 22 S can organize the pick up service on your behalf).

If you do not have adequate storage, normally all fruits and vegetables will have to be peeled or cooked in advance of your arrival. You are also authorized make juice or fruit salads but the organic food rubbish must be handed over to Quarantine officers in a sealed plastic bag for incineration.

Note : All plants and woodcarvings will be checked by the quarantine officers as well.
